Vehicles and homes were targeted during attempted break-ins in a Keady housing development early this morning (Saturday).
And people in the town are being urged to remain vigilant after recent thefts and incidents of criminal damage in the Mulcreevy Park area.
Local Councillor Darren McNally said two men tried to break into a number of vehicles and gain access to a number of houses at 5am this morning.
He said they were described as being in their late teens or early 20s; one was wearing a blue top, the other a black coat, and they were reported as “leaving the area with a number of items”.
The Sinn Fein councillor said: “There have been a number of break-ins on this side of town this past few weeks.
“Anyone who has information about any of this activity please come forward – these criminal elements have to be stopped from preying on our community.”
