A south Armagh councillor has expressed her disgust at a dumpsite on a road in Camlough.
Councillor Roisin Mulgrew expressed indignation at the dumping of a huge amount of household rubbish and furniture on the Ballynaleck Road.
“Not only does this behaviour add additional expense onto the ratepayer, in this instance it could well have cause a serious accident,” she said.
“This is a country road with no lighting and some irresponsible individuals chose to dump there rubbish right across the road at a dangerous bend with no thought for anybody else.
“There is no excuse for this behaviour. There are a number of council facilities for these types of unwanted goods and rubbish. I would also remind people that for a small fee the council will also lift heavy goods from your home and dispose of them properly.”
