A man in his 20s has been shot in the leg in a paramilitary style shooting on the Armagh Road in Newry.
Police are in attendance at the scene of the incident, which was reported shortly before 1.50am today (Thursday).
The man was bundled into a car in Warrenpoint and driven to the Armagh Road, where he was shot.
He has been taken to hospital, with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
Part of the Armagh Road remains closed and diversions are in place.
