Police are investigating what they describe as a “vicious and sustained assault” on a young woman.
The 19-year-old was attacked earlier today (Thursday) outside a petrol station on the Moy Road in Dungannon, at its junction with the Gortmerron Link Road.
A PSNI spokesperson appealed for witnesses to come forward.
He added: “The young victim is currently receiving hospital treatment for her injuries.
“On viewing the CCTV footage of the assault, we are keen to speak to several people who were on the forecourt and in particular a male who approaches the suspect during the assault.”
