Driver walks away from wreckage unhurt after car overturns in hedge

Despite the seemingly good weather being experienced today, the roads were treacherous first thing this morning (Friday).

That’s the message police are trying to get across after an incident close to Dungannon.

The female driver of this car miraculously walked away from this (main image) without so much as a scratch.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “This young driver had a lucky escape this morning when she went off the road outside Dungannon. Slippy roads and bright sunshine are never a good combination.”

Adding: “Thankfully she walked away from her car safe and well.

“She wanted us to pass on her thanks to the two young fellas who stopped to help get her out of the car.

“Great to see that the public are still willing to stop and help those in need rather than video them.”

With temperatures set to drastically drop over the next few weeks, motorists are being advised to exercise caution following a number of reports, similar to this morning, over the last number of days.
