A Co Tyrone company looks set to almost double in size with exciting new plans for expansion in the days ahead.
Classic Marble Ltd, based on the Omagh Road, Dungannon, has set its sights on major changes and significant growth in terms of production facilities.
To that end, an application seeking approval has been submitted to Mid-Ulster District Council for consideration.
The company is hoping to win support of council to construct a major extension, which would see the factory increase from almost 20,000 sq ft to close to 40,000 sq ft of floorspace.
This would include production facilities, office accommodation and storage space.
Four new jobs would be created.
But according to a transport assessment form: “Other employees within the existing factory will also be redeployed to the new production area.”
The development is not expected to see any major increases in vehicles attending the new facilities.
Parking will be provided for staff adjacent to the extended factory with 14 spaces available, including one disabled space). Visitor car parking will be provided to the front of the site adjacent to the offices, while parking for two larger vehicles will be provided within the yard, with “ample manoeuvring space for a heavy goods vehicle to turn”.
Classic Marble Ltd is a family-run business, founded in 1983, with vast experience in the design and manufacture of shower trays.
According to the company website: “Our reputation for quality products and customer care is second to none and is the cornerstone of our continued success.”
That success will be further strengthened in permission is granted for this extension.
The proposals, due to be publicly advertised shortly, is with Mid-Ulster District Council, which will make a recommendation in due course.
