A man was left badly shaken after armed intruders forced him to lie on the ground as they ransacked his Co Tyrone home on Monday evening.
Four men – two of whom were armed with weapons – forced their way into a property on the Castletown Road in Aughnacloy around 6pm.
The property was searched before the gang made off with a sum of money in what detectives are treating as an aggravated burglary.
Detective Inspector Robinson said: “This was a traumatic ordeal for the victim who was in his own home, a place where he rightly deserves to feel safe. Thankfully, he was not physically injured.
“Our enquiries continue this morning, and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in this area yesterday evening around 6pm and saw any suspicious activity, or has information about what happened to get in touch with our detectives in Mid Ulster on 101 quoting reference number 1560 of 11/01/21.”
