A man’s body has been found in a children’s play park in Dungannon this morning (Thursday).
Police and ambulance are currently at the scene of the tragic incident on the Newell Road area of the town.
The park – known locally as Panda Park – has been cordoned off as forensics carry out their investigations.
One eye-witness, speaking to Armagh I, said: “It just didn’t look good at all. There was a white sheet placed over the body. I just pray for the person’s family – it’s such a dreadful thing for anyone, and God love those who may have discovered that this morning.”
The man is believed to be in his 20s.
A police spokesperson confirmed the sudden death of a man but said they are not treating his death as suspicious at this time.
There are no further details at his stage.

Saw police car and ambulance just beyond #NewellRoad roundabout, on side of Beechvalley complex, opposite cost cutter. Think road might be closed. I hope whoever it is is ok. #Dungannon
