Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following an arson attack in Coalisland in the early hours of Saturday 29th August.
Detective Inspector Ryan said: “At approximately 1.40am, police received a report of a house fire in the Ballynakilly Road area of the town.
“Officers attended alongside colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, and the fire was extinguished.
“All those inside the property were able to get out, and one person was taken onward to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
“It is believed the fire was started deliberately and as such this is being treated as arson with intent to endanger life. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the fire.”
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anyone suspicious in the area or to anyone with CCTV or other footage that could assist with the investigation, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 110 29/08/26.
