‘Yes, it’s true’: Dungannon bakery and deli announce closure with ‘heavy heart’

Their premises hit the property market that same day with an asking price just over half-a-million pounds

A Dungannon convenience store specialising in freshly baked breads, sweet treats and takeaway meals has confirmed its regrettable closure as their premises hits the property market with an asking price just over half-a-million pounds.

PG Fresh – based on Thomas Street – announced their decision to close up shop via their social media pages on February 6, 2026… the same day the premises was listed for sale.

The business opened in November 2024 in a premises that was previously four separate units that were subsequently opened up into one large retail space.

Making their sad announcement just over a year on… the company said: “With a heavy heart, we share some sad news – we are closing.

“Our last day of trading will be Sunday, February 15.

“Thank you to everyone who supported us, walked through our doors, and stopped for a chat. We’ve loved serving our community and getting to know our wonderful regulars.

“You will be deeply missed.”

Although, providing a glimmer of hope for those PG Fresh loyals, they added: “Some good news though – we will be continuing to offer our Sunday Lunches from PG Chips Gortmerron, starting from Sunday, February 22.

“And hope to see some regular faces.”

The premises is now available for a prospective new owner to put their own stamp on the space under the agency of Maneely.

It comes with an asking price of £545,000 with its open-plan layout making it suitable to a variety of commercial uses.

Said Maneely: “The modern construction supports efficient layouts, generous proportions and a clean, professional presentation suitable for retail, showroom or service-based occupiers.

“A key feature of the property is the extensive basement area, offering valuable additional space and benefitting from vehicular access and covered parking providing 17 spaces, a particularly rare advantage for a town centre property in Dungannon.

“This significantly enhances operational efficiency for deliveries, storage and staff parking.”

Interested parties should contact Maneely directly.
