There have been eight further Covid-related deaths reported by the Department of Health today (Monday).
Of which seven occurred in the last 24 hours – and one just outside that timeframe, according to the official dashboard, which has the overall total now at 724.
There were a further 493 cases reported in that timeframe – a further drop, with 40 in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon and a further 38 in Newry, Mourne and Down.
A total of 2,012 individuals were tested.
There are 379 people now in hospital – that’s 18 than Sunday – as a result of the virus, 52 of whom are in intensive care units – an increase of four in 24 hours. There are currently 16 ICU beds available in NI.
Seventy-five patients are in Craigavon Area Hospital today – two more than yesterday. To date, 449 patients have been discharged from the Co. Armagh hospital.
There are also 10 Covid inpatients at Lurgan Hospital and 10 in Daisy Hill in Newry.
