A family car was stolen overnight, along with other items, in the latest ‘creeper’ style burglary in South Armagh.
Fews area Sinn Féin Councillor Roisin Mulgrew has urged vigilance after the property, in the Amakane area was targeted.
“Unfortunately again our community has been targeted by burglars,” she said.
“This creeper style theft saw a family home in the Amakane near Camlough locality being targeted during the night and the their vehicle and other items stolen.
“This appalling violation of a family home is a disgrace. Those engaged in these criminal activities know exactly what they are doing, are motivated by greed and care nothing for the families or communities they traumatise.
“They need to be caught and face the full rigours of the law. People should be vigilant for any suspicious activity.
“There are agencies and organisations that can advise families and home owners on how to improve their property and personal security.
“Anyone wishing details can contact myself at 07719106871 or call into my Camlough Advice Clinic, which takes place next Saturday, December 6 – and on the first Saturday of each month – from 11am to 1pm.”
