Police are investigating an arson attack in Newry early this morning (Saturday).
A van was set alight in the Kilbroney Road area at around 5.30am.
The fire spread to the porch of a house and a family of four, a mother, father and two sons in their 20s, were lucky to escape uninjured.
Two cars parked at the property were also badly damaged.
The attack is being treated as arson with intent to endanger life.
Detective Constable McAnallen appealed to anyone with information to contact the PSNI in Newry on the non-emergency number 101, or information can also be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
