An underground storage device has been found close to the border with South Armagh by Gardaí investigating dissident republican activity.
Improvised explosive devices, as well as firearms and ammunition, have been seized in County Louth.
The operation, which began on Friday night and continued into this afternoon, had centred around the areas of Kilcurry and Raskeagh.
All items uncovered have now been taken away for forensic examination.
