A YOUNG couple have fallen victim to a ‘creeper’ style burglary in Keady, when car keys and a purse were stolen.
And the weekend incident has prompted Keady Sinn Fein Councillor Darren McNally to urge public vigilance after what he has described as an increase in this type of criminal behaviour.
“This young couple, who have small children, were left shocked as their home was robbed while the family slept,” he said. “And the fact that this is not the first incident of this type in the Granemore Park area is a growing cause for concern for the community there.
“Thefts and anti-social behaviour have been on the increase in Granemore Park and the residents are demanding that the PSNI and statutory agencies do more to deal with these issues.
“I would urge people to be vigilant in looking out for their own and their neighbours’ property and to report any suspicious activity immediately to the PSNI.”
