A Keady man has been fined £300 after police noted a series of defects to lights on his car.
The 26-year-old was convicted in his absence as his solicitor came off record in the case.
Asen Ivanov, of Lir Gardens, was charged with misuse of a lighting device and four counts of defective lights at Armagh Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Court heard police observed the defendant driving on the Markethill Road, Tandragee, and noted that his front light was defective.
Officers also saw that the fog lights of the car were on despite there being clear conditions.
Police followed the vehicle and noticed that a rear taillight was also not working.
They stopped Ivanov and when asked why he was using the fog lights he said it was because his beam lights were not working.
Court heard that the indicator lights on the car were also defective.
The defendant was fined £60 on each of the offences, which totalled at £300.
