This is what the inside of a Co Armagh cinema – last opened to the public more than 30 years ago – looks like today.
Urban explorer Jamie Robinson caught a glimpse of the inside of the former Scala cinema in Keady and shared on TikTok (see below).
The derelict building, which perches over the town has lain empty since it closed its doors for the final time in June 1990.
At one stage it was the busiest venue in the town, having opened to the public in May 1956.
It was run by Charlie Mallon and family.
The first movie shown was ‘The Robe’, starring Richard Burton. It ran films using change overs every twenty minute reel.
