A major roadworks scheme in Keady looks is to begin on Monday.
The Castleblayney Road work, which will cost in the region of £200,000, is expected to last for up to three weeks, concluding on Saturday, April 8.
The scheme will involve the resurfacing of two miles of road and where appropriate the reinstatement of drainage and verges.
To facilitate the scheme, a temporary road closure will be in place.
The closure is from 7am on Monday, March 20 until 6pm on Saturday, April 8.
Traffic is being diverted via A29 Darkley Road, A25 Blaney Road and R182 in Co Monaghan.
The Department aims to keep disruptions to a minimum however, delays should be expected and drivers are asked to be patient and allow additional time when planning journeys in the area whilst the road improvements are being carried out.
With all work of this nature extreme weather can impact on the completion date.
The Department will advise the public of any unexpected change to the schedule.
