A number of animal carcasses have been dumped along rural Co Armagh roads over the last number of weeks.
Sinn Féin councillor Bróna Haughey has blasted those who chose to dump lamb carcasses on the roadside in Tassagh this week.
It comes after the Cusher councillor was alerted to the issue by concerned constituents in the area.
“Unfortunately, this was the latest of a series of similar incidents, with a number of calf carcasses also being dumped in Clady.
“I have reported these incidents to the council and hope that the latest carcasses will be removed as soon as possible.
“Those behind these incidents have absolutely no regard for our community.
“Not only does this negligent dumpling pose an environmental threat, especially if the carcasses are contaminated but is also deeply unpleasant for the community to come upon these in public areas.”
