Shoppers at a Keady Centra will be treated to a very special family fun day – hosted by radio star Pete Snodden – as part of the franchise’s 30th birthday celebrations.
Centra, and sister brand SuperValu, are celebrating 30 years in Northern Ireland, marking a significant milestone for two of the region’s best-known retail brands.
To mark the occasion, McGleenan’s Centra Keady will host a special family fun day on Tuesday September 15, from 1pm to 4pm.
Radio presenter Pete Snodden will lead an afternoon of celebrations featuring a Spin and Win wheel, prizes, goodie bags, birthday cake, face painting and a live DJ, as the store thanks local customers for three decades of support.
The anniversary forms part of a wider month-long celebration by Musgrave NI-owned brands Centra and SuperValu, recognising the retail partners, colleagues and customers who have been at the heart of their success since arriving in Northern Ireland in 1996.
To thank shoppers for their loyalty, the brands are also launching a special ’30 Years, 30 Chances, £30k’ giveaway. From 14 September, customers will have the chance to win £1,000 every day for 30 days, with winners selected at random at store tills across Northern Ireland.

The McGleenan family, owners of the store, added: “This store has been at the heart of the Keady community for more than 20 years and has proudly traded under the Centra brand since 2004.
“Many of our colleagues have spent a significant part of their careers here; we have 16 team members with more than 10 years’ service each, and a combined 233 years between them. Their dedication, together with the loyalty of our customers, is what makes this milestone so special.
“Over the years, we’ve seen children grow up and return as customers with families of their own, supported local schools, clubs and charities, and built lasting relationships across the community. Celebrating 30 years of Centra gives us a chance to reflect on those connections and thank everyone who has been part of our journey.”
