Emergency services are currently dealing with a serious single vehicle road accident on the outskirts of Keady tonight (Tuesday).
Paramedics are currently attending to the vehicle which is understood to have collided with a tree on the main Armagh to Keady Road, close to the junction with Bachelors Walk – about a mile from the town.
A number of eye-witnesses, speaking to Armagh I, have said police are currently re-directing traffic via Tassagh, as first responders deal with the incident.
It is understood there were a number of people travelling in the car at the time.
The road has been closed in both directions and motorists are advised to avoid the area. The weather is treacherous with torrential rain making driving extremely hazardous this evening.
Diversions have been put in place and are likely to remain in place for a considerable period of time.
