St Patrick's High School Keady

St Patrick’s High School in Keady has confirmed a positive case of Covid-19.

In a message to parents, Principal, Dr Fionnuala Moore, has asked Year 14 pupils to stay at home this morning (Monday).

The School say they received notification on Sunday evening that a “member of our school community has tested positive for Covid-19”.

Dr Moore added: “While we seek further guidance from the Public Health Authority [on Monday morning], Year 14 students should not attend school.

“Ensuring the safety of pupils and staff is my absolute priority and I will continue to monitor this situation carefully and keep you informed.

“Parents with any questions or concerns are welcome to contact the school.”

The news follows two positive cases confirmed at McGleenan’s Centra in the town on Saturday morning.

The shop closed its doors for a deep clean on Saturday morning, but re-opened on Sunday morning. The hot food deli and butchery is expected to re-open as normal again today.
