Calls are being made for action after a second serious crash in as many weeks at an accident blackspot.
Two cars collided on the Ardress Road, Loughgall, close to the crossroads.
The closure was in place at the turn for Derrygavad Road, heading in the direction of Moy.
A PSNI spokesperson confirmed: “Two vehicles were involved, a white van and a blue car.
“There were no reports of any serious injuries.”
Portadown DUP candidate Lavelle McIlwrath has called for action following today’s road closure.
“Firstly I want to express my concerns for those involved in today’s accident and hope for a speedy recovery to all involved,” said Mr McIlwrath.
“This incident once again highlights the dangers which exist in this vicinity. I will be working closely with my party colleague, William Irwin, to lobby for much-needed improvements around these crossroads.
A fortnight ago, two people had to be cut from their vehicle following a collision very close to today’s accident scene.
Speaking to Armagh I at the time, Mr Irwin, said: “I have continually pushed for improvements at this accident black spot and a number of improvements have been installed.
“I have again spoken to Transport NI senior officials following this incident and they have agreed to look again at additional safety measures.
“It is imperative that every effort is made to try and understand the reasons why this crossroads continues to have such a regular accident occurrence rate.
“Locals living in the vicinity are so fearful of a very serious accident or worse still a fatality such is the risk at this spot. My real fear is that there will be a fatality at this location and that certainly isn’t something that any family should have to experience.
“I will be continuing to lobby for further improvements and I will continue to maintain contact with Transport NI locally on this concerning issue.”
