Gone from Gosford but Glaze and Roll finds new home at Loughgall Country Park

"There really are zero services in Loughgall, which I believe is putting off many going to the park. I have been up looking at the site and I have seen many carrying flasks because there is no option."

Those who have enjoyed a cup of coffee or a treat at Glaze and Roll’s trailer in Gosford Forest Park will be sad to see it go as it is set to relocate after next Thursday (March 31).

Glaze and Roll has been a permanent fixture at the park site just outside Markethill for quite some time but now will be bringing its delectable fayre to another Co Armagh park.

Next month sees the trailer, filled to the brim with treats (here is hoping it drops some on the way!!), move just a short distance up the road to the idyllic Loughgall Country Park.

And with this its founder and managing director, Wayne McCall, says he is hoping with the help of council to “put Loughgall on the map”.

Breaking the news to Armagh I,  Wayne said: “There really are zero services in Loughgall, which I believe is putting off many going to the park. I have been up looking at the site and I have seen many carrying flasks because there is no option.”

To begin with, Glaze and Roll will be serving up coffee and traybakes but there are plans afoot for more.

“The council are dedicated to investing in Loughgall and making it a destination for many more people than it is currently getting through the gates, ” said Wayne. “We are there to help support them in that aim.”

The move is also set to start off on the right foot, as Glaze and Roll will be providing coffee and food for the opening of the new Royal Black headquarters in Loughgall next Saturday.

So, if you are looking to take in some scenery and grab a coffee on the way, Loughgall Country Park is just the right venue to visit.
