Police are appealing for information following reports of the suspected theft of livestock in the Tirmacrannon Road area of Loughgall.
Sometime between 5.30pm on Friday and 8.30am on Saturday,it was reported that a blue Texel Ram – which is white in colour – was believed to have been stolen from a field in the area.
Constable Orr said: “As the nights are getting longer, we would ask the rural community to carry out a security stock check to ensure both livestock and property is secure. Rural crime severely impacts the farm business and police would remind farmers to be vigilant at this time of year.
“It is important that we all work together to help make the countryside safer. We continue to work as part of the Rural Crime Partnership to support the rural community by preventing and detecting crime.
“Don’t make life easy for the criminals. By reporting promptly to police any activity that raises suspicion, is a good way to prevent crime and to protect your property and keep livestock and plant machinery safe.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who has information or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to contact them on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1001 of 07/11/20.”
