An afternoon of dancing and festive fun at Clan Na Gael ‘Friendly Club’ Christmas tea dance

Clan Na Gael ‘Friendly Club’ members had a fantastic time last week celebrating together during their Christmas tea dance.

The day was organised as part of their Take 500 + community celebration event.

The club members enjoyed Christmas carols from St Francis’ PS Lurgan where the pupils sang and played everyone’s festive favourites on their instruments.

The guests where served a delicious Christmas dinner, supplied by Lean Supper Club

If that wasn’t enough, they where then treated to homemade apple tarts by Golden Crust Bakery, Lurgan and Christmas nibbles from Somethin’ Sweet, Armagh.

With full bellies, it was time to get moovin’ and groovin’ with live music from Housty, who had the Clan Na Gael floor full of Christmas cheer!

Before the event ended, club members exchanged secret Santa gifts with one another.

The Friendly Club would like to say thank you to Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Verve Healthy Living Network, Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council, the Take 500+ participatory Budgeting community partnership and to community members who helped make this event happen.

The club would also like to thank the group of volunteers who gave up their time and commitment to making it a great day!

The Friendly Club is now finished for Christmas break but welcomes new members to join in the New Year!
