Co Armagh teenager dies in Lisburn road collision

A Co Armagh teenager died in a road traffic collision in Lisburn this morning (Sunday).

Police confirmed that the 19 year old male died following the collision on the Saintfield Road, at approximately 10.20am,, Sunday, 14 July.

He has been named as Séanna Duffy from Lurgan.

A funeral notice to the late Mr Duffy read: “[Séanna] died suddenly as result of accident.

“Séanna dearly beloved son of Colin and Martine 30 Forest Glade Lurgan R.I.P, and much loved brother of Caitriona, Aimee, Sinead, Oisin and Fionntan and loving uncle to Braeden and Séanna.

“Funeral arrangements later. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

“Very deeply regretted by his loving father, mother, sisters, brothers, nephews and entire family circle.”

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police would appeal to anyone who was travelling on the Saintfield Road, in either the direction of Temple or coming from the Temple area and may have witnessed this incident which involved a silver Ford Focus and a tanker lorry, or anyone who has dash-cam footage that would assist in our enquiries, to contact PSNI Collision Investigation Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 631 14/07/19.”
