A woman has been convicted at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court for fraudulently claiming over £3,000 in benefits.
Patrycja Harmatiuk (31) of Silverwood Leaves, Lurgan claimed Universal Credit totalling £3,654 whilst failing to declare joint living arrangements. She was given a conditional discharge for 18 months.
The fraud was uncovered following an investigation by the Department for Communities.
Ms Harmatiuk is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongly obtained to the Department.
Suspected benefit fraud can be reported to the Department for Communities anonymously.
