Some familiar Co Armagh faces will – for one night only – be paying homage to the popular stars of the country music scene as they aim to raise money for the local community.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Seagoe Lourdes Committee and they thought what better way to fundraise than this!
The group, who each year commit to taking a number of the most in need members of the community on a pilgrimage, have organised an excellent night of country entertainment.
The established committee have organised acts performing as famous country music stars Nathan Carter, Derek Ryan, Lisa McHugh and Joe Dolan, to name but a few.
Taking part will see some local familiar faces, including milkman Ian O’Hagan, John Fox, EuroSpar Lurgan manager, and the esteemed DJ Conor McDonald, all taking to the stage.
Singer Kevin Kearney – who formerly played with the Indies – will then lead the night away into a fun-filled night of singing and dancing.
Mairead Breen, Committee Member, explained: “Every year we organise an event and this year is no different.
“We have a full line-up of country music acts headlining our event Stars in Your County.
“We have even had an endorsement from Derek Ryan wishing our Derek Ryan act, Niall Kerr, all the best for his performance!
“We would love to see as many people attending and supporting what is sure to be a fantastic evening for the wider community. You will not be disappointed. It’s for a great cause.”
The country spectacular will take place this Saturday evening, February 22, at the Bayhall Sports and Social Club, Derrytrasna. The doors open at 8:30pm and admission is £10 with all proceeds going to the Seagoe Lourdes Committee. A light buffet will be served.
