The building which occupied a former Lurgan Day Nursery has entered the property market with planning permission for 10 apartments.
The premises, located in the Edward Street area of the town, had been home to Zions Den Day Nursery and sits to the rear of St Ronan’s College and Mount Zion House on the grounds of the old Convent of Mercy.
Plans for the demolition of the property and construction of 10 two-bedroom apartments, which were initially submitted to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council in January 2023, were then given the stamp of approval in December 2023.

As such, the property will now be sold with full planning permission for construction of these apartments and all associated site works.
The property listing agent Simon Brien is currently inviting offers in the region of £250,000.
Once sold, the redevelopment could see the 4,575 sq ft site transformed to contain the 10 apartments alongside a garden area to the front and “exclusive use” of car parking spaces.
However, the agent also notes that the single-storey red brick property is also suitable for a variety of uses and may “appeal to business users to acquire the premises for owner occupation or for investments purposes”.
Interested parties should contact Simon Brien for more information.
