The funeral of the father-of-four murdered in Lurgan last Thursday (January 12) is to take place in the town tomorrow.
Shane Whitla, (39), was discovered lying on the ground in Lord Lurgan Park after being shot several times, including once in the back. He died from the gunshot wounds.
According to a death notice, Mr Whitla’s funeral will be held in St Peter’s Church for Requiem Mass at 10:30am, with interment afterwards in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Mr Whitla was the dearly beloved son of Patricia and the late John.
He was also the loving father of Josh, Jamie and Tynisha and brother of Paul, Patrice, Francis, Nathan, Connor and the late Nigel and Natasha.
Detectives are reiterating their appeal for anyone with information on the killing to contact them on 101.

Crimestoppers have offered a £20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction for Shane’s murder.
A fourth person was arrested over the murder on Wednesday evening, and has been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning following the search of a house in the Lurgan area.
