Bands from all across the UK and Ireland descended upon Lurgan Park as the town played host to the prestigious UK Pipe Band Championships for the second time.
Whilst the weather didn’t play ball, it failed dampen the spirits of those competing, as the braved the heavy downpours to practice.
The Championships, which are organised by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, featured hundreds of players, including the best local pipers from varying competition grades ranging from juvenile right up to Grade One, along with drum majors and highland dancers.
Visitors had the rare opportunity to see world-class bands competing for the coveted championship title and enjoy music from a range of talented players, including Irish and Northern Irish bands and Scottish bands, as well as international bands travelling from far and wide.
