St Ronan’s College in Lurgan is proud to celebrate the success, dedication and achievements of its Class of 2026 as students received their A-Level and AS-Level results on Thursday
Principal Mrs Eithne Erskine shared her congratulations: “It is a pleasure to congratulate our Sixth Form students on their excellent A-Level and AS-Level results. These achievements are the result of sustained effort, resilience and commitment throughout their studies. The pride and excitement evident among students, families and staff today is a wonderful reminder of the dedication and commitment that have made this success possible
For many of our students, this week’s results mark the culmination of a seven-year journey at St Ronan’s College. Since joining us in Year 8, they have embraced opportunities, overcome challenges and grown into confident, capable young adults who are ready to take the next step in their lives. We are immensely proud of all that they have achieved and of the many different pathways they are now pursuing.”
This year’s outcomes mark a significant milestone for St Ronan’s College, celebrating our largest Year 14 cohort to date alongside continued improvement in academic results across the College. These achievements reflect the hard work, resilience, and determination of our students, supported by the dedication of our staff and the steadfast encouragement of their families.
Following today’s results, the majority of students have already secured places on highly competitive courses across the UK, Ireland, and internationally including Queen’s University Belfast, Ulster University, the Pontifical Irish College in Rome, Liverpool John Moores University, Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of Exeter, Edinburgh Napier University, the University of Chichester and Stranmillis University College.
They will now embark on degree pathways spanning:
- Healthcare & Medical Sciences: Medicine, Midwifery, Nursing, Radiography, Pharmacy and Biomedical Science
- Engineering & Technology: Aerospace, Biomedical, Civil, Mechatronic, and Mechanical Engineering; Cyber Security and Computing
- Humanities, Theology & Education: Theology, Education, Psychology, Language and Linguistics
- Professional Services & Business: Accounting, Finance, Business and Marketing
- Creative Industries & Sport: Architecture, Musical Theatre & Film Studies and Sports Studies
Demonstrating the evolving ambitions of our school community, a record number of leavers have also secured prestigious Higher Level Apprenticeships with leading employers proving that St Ronan’s students are exceptionally well prepared to excel through direct industry pathways alongside traditional university routes.
As a non-selective, all-ability grammar school, we take immense pride in supporting every student to develop their talents, achieve their potential, and pursue ambitious futures aligned with their personal goals.

Mrs Erskine also paid tribute to the staff, parents, carers and families who have supported students throughout their journey:

I would like to thank our dedicated teachers, classroom assistants, pastoral leaders and academic teams who work tirelessly to support, encourage and challenge every student to achieve their personal best. Their expertise, care and commitment make an invaluable difference to the lives of our young people every day.
Today is also an opportunity to recognise and thank our parents, carers and families. Their unwavering support, encouragement and belief in their sons and daughters have played a vital role throughout their journey at St Ronan’s College. These achievements are a testament to what can be accomplished when students, families and school work together in partnership.
On behalf of our Board of Governors, I would also like to thank every member of staff whose contribution, whether in the classroom or beyond, has helped our students reach this important milestone. Today’s success belongs to our entire school community.”
