A Lurgan garden store has been completely ransacked during a break-in that saw substantial damage caused to the premises.
Mourne Road Home Gardening and Solid Fuels Store had their front glass door smashed as intruders gained entry to the property.
Once inside, the perpetrators turned over the interior of the shop leaving shelves bare and a path of destruction in their wake.
Commenting on the shocking incident, Cllr Peter Haire said: “I am personally very sorry to hear that Mourne Road Home Gardening shop was broken into last night. It is disappointing to see this kind of behaviour happening in south Lurgan.
“The front door and windows were smashed, and the entire shop was ransacked. I have been in contact with the owners today, and understandably they are deeply upset and saddened by what has happened.

“The police have been notified, and CCTV footage is currently being reviewed. If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious, or has any information that may help, please contact the PSNI.
“Our local businesses work hard to serve the community, and nobody should have to experience this kind of damage and distress.”
Armagh I contacted PSNI for further information but were advised no report had been received.
