A Lurgan man has been charged with possession of an indecent photograph of a child and an extreme pornographic image.
The 32-year-old was connected to the charges, which are alleged to have occurred in 2018, by a constable in his absence.
Shane Stevenson, of Drumlin Drive, faces charges of possession of an indecent photograph and possession of an extreme pornographic image.
A constable at Craigavon Magistrates’, sitting at Lisburn, on Wednesday told the court she believed she could connect the defendant to the charges.
The particulars of the charges allege that Stevenson on February 21, of 2018, had is his possession “an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of children”.
On that same date, the defendant is also accused of being in possession of “an extreme pornographic image”.
Defence barrister Conor Lunny made no question to the connection by the constable and informed the court that his client was currently on police bail.
District Judge Amanda Brady consented to continued police bail and adjourned the case until August 12.
