A 22-year-old man has died following a collision on the M1 last night (Saturday).
It is understood that a car collided with a pedestrian shortly after 10pm.
The man has been named locally as Daryl Thompson from the Beragh area of Co Tyrone.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the motorway between junction 14 and 15 near Tamnamore at around 10.20pm.
Police are advising motorists that the M1 remains closed this morning (Sunday) as investigators continue their work.
Police have asked anyone who may have been travelling on the road at that time or who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting the reference number 1477 with the date 10/11/2018.
Motorists are being urged to seek an alternative route.
