A man has died following an incident on a farm in Lurgan on Friday night.
The 55-year-old died as a result of a tragic accident at a farm in the Kilvergan Road area.
It is understood the deceased was a well-known and respected businessman with shops in Co Armagh and Co Down.
DUP MLA, William Irwin, offered his condolences for the man’s family.
“I want to extend my deepest sympathy to this man’s family at this awful time,” he said.
“This man was a father and was very well-known in the area. It’s an incredibly sad time for his family, friends and wider community as they come to terms with his loss.
“My thoughts and prayers will be with them.”
The HSENI has been informed.
A spokesperson said: “HSENI were informed of an incident on a farm in the Lurgan area yesterday evening (July 26). Inspectors have attended the scene and are making further enquiries.”
