A Lurgan man accused of causing grievous bodily harm on another male will face Crown Court proceedings in the New Year.
Paul Carville, 56, of Millbrook Court, appeared charged with grievous bodily harm at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
As the charges were read out, it was heard that the offence was alleged to have occurred on April 19 of this year.
Standing in the dock, the 56-year-old made no objection to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.
Prosecution submitted that based on the papers which were before the court there was a prima facie case to anwer.
Defence counsel made no contrary submissions.
District Judge Steven Keown stated that he was satisfied this was the case.
Carville was released on continued bail of £500 to appear at Craigavon Crown Court on January 28 for arraignment.
