A man has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of Lurgan man Paul Curran last Thursday afternoon.
Appearing in court earlier today (Monday) in Lisburn, John McComb, 37, from Ardnaskea Park in Coalisland, admitted striking Mr Curran during a play fight.
Mr Curran, 29, was found dead in a house in Manor Drive in the Co Armagh town.
The court heard how a drink and drugs-fuelled party had been going on at the house for days.
The court also heard how there were nine people in the house at the time of Mr Curran’s death, with only the defendant and his girlfriend leaving after the incident.
McComb changed his clothing but says he drank so much following the death of his friend that he doesn’t know where he left the clothes.
Police attempts to retrieve the items have proved unsuccessful.
Bail was refused and Mr McComb was remanded in custody to appear again via video link on March 31.
Two other suspects have been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
