Man arrested after police motorcycle pursuit across Banbridge, Lurgan and Portadown areas

Police investigating an incident where a number of motorcycles travelling at dangerous speeds were pursued by officers across the Banbridge, Lurgan and Portadown areas in the early hours of Saturday have arrested a man.

The 30-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving while disqualified, no insurance and a number of other road traffic offences. He remains in custody at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and officers are keen to speak with anyone who might have footage – including dash-cam, CCTV or other digital footage – of the motorcyclists travelling in the Banbridge area, or of the police pursuit in the Plantation Road area of Lurgan and into the Corcrain Drive/Westland Road area of Portadown.
