A man accused of a litany of drugs offences, including being concerned in the supply of Class A and B, will face Crown Court proceedings next month.
The 36-year-old appeared at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court for the purposes of a preliminary enquiry (PE), the legal process during which a case is referred to the higher court.
Darius Radziunas, of Trasna Way in Lurgan, is charged with two counts of possession of Class A, two counts of possession of Class A with intent to supply, two counts of possession of Class B, two counts of possession of Class B with intent to supply, possession of Class C, two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A and two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class B.
As the charges were read, it was heard that the offences were alleged to have been committed by the defendant between April 1 and October 25, of 2020.
The alleged Class A substances were outlined as being PMMA (para-methoxymethamphetamine) and MDMA, whilst the Class B substances were identified as cannabis and amphetamine.
The Class C substance alleged to have been in Radziunas’ possession was named as Gabapentin.
Appearing in court, the defendant made no objection to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.
Prosecution submitted that based on the papers before the court there was a prima facie case to answer.
Defence barrister Aaron Thompson made no contrary submissions.
Deputy District Judge Greg McCourt , satisfied there was a prima facie case to answer, released the defendant on his own bail of £500 to appear at Craigavon Crown Court on April 5.
