Man facing 108 charges including making and possessing indecent images of children

A man, formerly with a Lurgan address, and who faces 108 charges including making and possessing indecent images of children, is set to have his case sent to the Crown Court.

The case, at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, has been adjourned to October 1 for a preliminary enquiry – the legal step to send the case to the higher court.

Christopher Anderson (40), of no fixed abode, was extradited from the Netherlands to Northern Ireland on August 22 this year.

The case involves 108 charges including possessing, making and distributing indecent images of children and a charge of inciting the sexual assault of a child.

The charges relate to between 2013 and 2020.

The defendant was further remanded in custody.
