Police believe a man was hit with a bottle or stiletto heel after he tried to break up a fight involving a group of females.
And they have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
It happened in the William Street area of Lurgan at around 1.30am on Saturday morning past.
Police in Craigavon want to hear from anyone who may have seen the fight involving the group of females, which led to a “well meaning male” being injured when he tried to intervene.
“The injuries he sustained would be consistent with being hit with a bottle or stiletto heel,” say police.
“If you can help us identify who caused this man to need hospital treatment, or saw any fight between females that night, please call 101, quoting incident 85 of 02/01/16.”
