A Lurgan man who has appeared in court for assault on police will have to return after the New Year to be sentenced.
Court heard the 41-year-old had previous convictions for threats to kill, assault and obstructing police.
Edvinas Vaitekunas, of Demesne Avenue, pleaded guilty to assault on police and resisting police at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Deputy District Judge Philip Mateer stated: “He has previous for threats to kill, assault and obstructing police. I suppose I will need a presentence report.”
Defence barrister Patrick Taylor commented: “It is a matter for your worship.”
The case was adjourned until January 17 for sentencing.
