A 32-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Natalie McNally in Lurgan a week before Christmas.
The charge comes more than six weeks after her brutal killing at her Silverwood Green home on Sunday, December 18.
The suspect, who was initially the first person arrested having reported Natalie’s death to police on December 19, was subsequently released and publicly eliminated from the inquiry.
However, the 32-year-old was re-arrested on Tuesday in the Lisburn area and has today (Thursday) been charged with her murder.
He was officially charged in the early hours of this morning.
He is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court today, February 2.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Following the suspect’s arrest PSNI officers and forensics teams descended on a property on the outskirts of Lisburn on Tuesday afternoon.
Police also made door-to-door enquiries asking neighbours for CCTV footage.
