One person taken to hospital following two-vehicle collision in Gilford

One person has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Gilford.

Police in Armagh received a report at around 6.20pm on Thursday, 6th November of a two-vehicle collision in the Woodlands area of Gilford.

Officers attended, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS).

A road closure was subsequently put in place at the junction of Moyallan Road and Plantation Road.

One person was taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries and both vehicles were recovered, with the road later reopened.

A spokesperson for the NIAS said: “The NIAS received a 999 call at 6:19pm on Thursday, November 6, following reports of an RTC in the Woodlands area, Gilford.

“NIAS tasked two Emergency Ambulances and a Rapid Response Paramedic to the scene. Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one person was taken to Craigavon Area Hospital by Ambulance.”
