A woman has been taken to hospital by ambulance following a road-traffic collision in Lurgan today (Tuesday).
Union Street is reported to be closed this afternoon following reports of the collision, which happened at Union Court.
A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said: “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 10:58 on Tuesday, 3 December 2024 following reports of an RTC in the Union Court Area, Lurgan.
“NIAS despatched Ambulance and the HEMS Team attended by road. One patient was taken to Craigavon Hospital by Ambulance.”
A police spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian in the Union Court area of Lurgan at approximately 11.10am today, Tuesday 3rd December.
“It was reported a woman was getting into the passenger seat of a vehicle when it was struck by another vehicle, knocking her to the ground.
“Colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended and medical treatment was provided at the scene. The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries.
“Enquiries are at an early stage and anyone with information or dash-cam footage of what happened is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 520 03/12/24.”
