Police were tasked to Lurgan Park after a youth was seen brandishing a sledge hammer last Wednesday evening.
Officers were called at around 8pm after fearful park users reported the youth.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police attended and have identified a number of youths who we believe to have been involved in this incident.
“Lurgan Neighbourhood team are investigating this matter and are gravely concerned by this report.
“Thankfully nobody was hurt in this incident but it acts as a reminder to parents to be aware of what your children are doing and where they are.”

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart commented: “Seriously … a sledge hammer! I actually despair. It is time for Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council to get a grip on this situation. People love to visit the park and not be subjected to this type of activity.”
