Residents urged to check outbuildings as search continues for missing Lurgan woman

Caitlin Green

Police searching for a missing woman in Lurgan have issued a fresh public appeal, asking residents to check sheds, garages and other private outbuildings in the area where she was last seen.

Officers are continuing to search for 24-year-old Caitlin Green, who also goes by Caity, and has not been seen since leaving a friend’s home in the Derry Street/Lord Lurgan Park area at around 12.30pm on Saturday, January 31.

Extensive police searches are ongoing, with detectives reviewing all available CCTV footage and following up on investigative leads and information received so far. However, police are now urging members of the public to assist by carrying out checks on their own properties.

In particular, residents in the following areas are asked to examine any sheds, garages or outbuildings and report anything of concern to police:

Derry Street
Victoria Street
Princess Street
Derry Lodge Manor
Derry Park Lane
Glenravel Drive
Brett Avenue / Brett Drive
Allenhill Park
Woodville Street

When last seen, Caitlin was wearing black leggings and a grey Regatta jacket.

Police say their priority is to establish Caitlin’s whereabouts and ensure she is safe, while also providing reassurance to her family and loved ones.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Caitlin, has information about where she may be, or Caitlin herself, is asked to contact police on 101. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Reports can also be made online via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport or www.crimestoppers-uk.org
