Police are currently dealing with a security alert in Lurgan this morning (Sunday).
The alert is centered on the Shankill Street area, where officers are in attendance and a number of road closures have been put in place.
Members of the public are being advised to avoid the area while the incident is ongoing.
Police have said that further updates will be provided in due course.
Meanwhile, Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart said: “Police are on the scene and are evacuating the area as a precaution.
“Lurgan Town Hall will be open for anyone affected by the disruption. This is not something we want or need on a Sunday morning.
“I have been liaising with the PSNI this morning and would assure the community that the police are working hard to resolve the situation as quickly and safely as possible.
“Anyone with information please come forward to the PSNI.”
